using a 1 point perspective but for a view from above and making it look good is not easy!

You must really know your stuff because that was spot on. The single point perspective was the easy bit, all the rectangular objects and the room as a whole was simple enough; but having to draw a down view for most of the toys and objects I found to be quite tricky.
