I've been debating for a while to make a post like this, as the days pass the pressure increases and i finally gave in.

My mother passed away a bit over a week ago. I want to first tell you that i'm doing fine, it's sad but i'm fine. I've got my wife, i've got my support net, and i'm feeling ok all things considered.

My mom left me and my sisters with a lot of debt -- we've already talked with 2 lawyers so far-- and the best course of action is to completely deny any inheritence, meaning that we're not getting anything from her (including debt) and this process of course, like everything, costs some money.

Me and my wife live 7 hours away from my home city where my family is and i will be travelling to spend christmas with them, but I would lie if I said i'm in a comfortable spot to do so. i'm not sure how the whole legal process is gonna go, each day I have more of an idea as we ask questions, but it's stressful. All I want right now is to know at least that I can comfortably travel to see my family and that I have some spare money to help my sisters pay the lawyer during this process.

I'm looking to raise no more than 400$ during this holiday season, and I say this number cause I don't wanna abuse anyones good intentions.

Thankfully my situation isn't worse and i don't need more than this, as i stated in the text before, me and my sisters will deny my mother's inheritence wich thankfully (even if it costs money) it is a relatively affordable legal procedure, this money will be used for the legal expenses aswell as for me and my wife to travel to and back to my home city. Nothing else to say except long live Newgrounds and it's community!
